Kamina Cosplay Costume from Gurren Lagann

A friend bought this cosplay recently, and I feel very sorry that he did. Poor guy didn't analyze this properly first before buying. First off- The straps of the cape are supposed to be GOLD not ORANGE, which for some awful reason matches the bottom of the cape where the flames are supposed to be yellow-orange. Not a weird darker orange color. Second, the Dai-Gurren skull symbol looks very very cartoonish, and is badly shaped unlike the real thing where the skull only has 3 teeth, and 2 obvious cheek bones with slicker glasses instead of a deformed 5 toothed skull that looks like its from Cartoon Network. Third, it looks like the lining on the inside is black??? It's supposed to be solid red! Also, why aren't the glasses included with this?! And the off-colored flames on the bottom of the cape don't even look like flames, it looks like someone spilled some weird colored liquid on the back instead of it being real flames. Not only these things, but the bottom of the cape is supposed to look like it's gone through hell. Have you even seen Gurren Lagann? The cape was owned by Kamina's father, who died, and was buried with the cape, left to rot, and sat a very very long time. This cape looks like it was just recently manufactured by some poor people in a sweatshop in China! Or is it? I'm not trying to bash anyone here, I just really wanted you guys to take a better look at what you're selling. This is a disgrace to the entire show, and even the developers and GAINAX themselves. I wouldn't even wear this for Halloween! And $100.00 USD??? SERIOUSLY?!?! More like $20.00 maybe. Will be tweeting about this, so others will be aware, and maybe you will improve on your skills, and make accurate cosplay costumes for the people who love the characters. Thanks, -Kazu
