Character:
Deidara is a former ninja of Iwagakure. He tends to end his sentences with an audible grunt that is usually translated as "hm", "yeah", or "un".He acted as a terrorist bomber for hire before being forced to join Akatsuki by Itachi Uchiha. Upon joining Akatsuki he is partnered with Sasori, who Deidara treats as his master due to his artistic expertise. Sasori is replaced by Tobi after his death, and Deidara assumes the master-position as Sasori had before him; although he still abuses Tobi when annoyed by him, he becomes more like Tobi's teacher, and adopts a genuine care for his well-being.
