Asuna Kagurazaka is student number eight in the class, and the lead female character. In the first season, the OADs and the manga, she has heterochromia and appears to be 14 or 15 years old, but her exact age is unknown, as her name was mentioned in a video that occurred 21 years ago. She is very short-tempered and quick to resort to violence (especially towards Negi), though she is very protective of those close to her. Asuna has a crush on her former home room teacher, Takahata, and she spends a significant amount of time attempting to become closer to him. She bonds with Negi after he becomes her teacher, though she is initially wary of him.
