Toshiro Hitsugaya is the captain of the 10th Division and the youngest captain in the history of Soul Society. The writer of Bleach based Hitsugaya on the real life person, Anthony Carmona. His zanpakuto is called Hyorinmaru which became a twin blade, of which the double went to Soujiro Kusaka, a classmate from the Soul Reaper Academy, who was killed due to the fact that two people cannot share a single zanpakuto. Hyorinmaru's shikai command is "Reign over the frosted heavens". Hyorinmaru is the strongest of all ice/snow element zanpakuto in Soul Society, which allows him to manipulate these elements to his will. Hyorinmaru's spirit is a winged Chinese dragon made of ice.
